Eco Friendly Vinayagar

Hello Buddies 🙂

I wanted to put this post on last week itself but couldn’t do it due to network problem at my place. Anyway better late than never. For the Vinayagar chathurthi celebration this time I made a new try a Eco Friendly Vinayagar statue made out of newspaper 🙂 newspaper vinayagar

It wasn’t perfect as you get in the stores. It was a little quirky yet cute 🙂cute vinayagar

Supplies:

  • Newspaper
  • Maida Glue
  • Acrylic paints

My Method:

  1. Shred newspaper into small pieces
  2. Make the maida glue. Mix 1:2 ratio of maida and water and few drops of oil . Heat it for few minutes then allow it to cool for some time. Let it be in a watery consistency.maida glue
  3. Dip the newspaper pieces in the maida glue and form newspaper balls . Likewise make each part of the statuemake parts
  4. Attach them all to form the approximate shape of the godAttach all parts
  5. Let it dry overnightNewspaper ganesh
  6. Paint with white colour paint
