JOTW – Jewelry Of The Week #6

Hello Buddies 🙂

Happy Navarathri 🙂 Here is this week’s “Jewelry of the week” post. I made these as navarathri gifts for my lovely sisters 🙂 JOTW6

Supplies required:

  • Quilling paper
  • Head pins
  • Eye pins
  • Ear hooks
  • Beads
  • Small silver beads
  • Wire cutter
  • Pliers

My Method :

  1. Roll the white colour paper first into a tight circle using quilling needle
  2. Secure the end of white paper with glue.JOTW6
  3. Give a slight push in the middle of the circle from one side and raise it above to form the bell like shape for the earring.JOTW6
  4. Insert a bead into a head pin and form a loop and cut the excess wire this forms the hanging part
  5. Insert a small silver bead inside a eye pin. Then insert the quilling paper inside this eye pin. Again insert a silver bead above this paper bell.
  6. Form a small loop of this eye pin and cut the excess wire
  7. Connect the hanging bead loop with this eye pin end. Now the jumkhee bell and hanging beads get connected.
  8. Insert the Ear hook in the loop above the paper bell.
  9. Using 3D gold/silver liners and make small designs on the earring.JOTW6
  10. Apply varnish on the earring with a small paint brush. This is to make your earring resistant to water.
  11. Thats it earring ready 🙂JOTW6
